Express Version

Event Scheduler
This cutting-edge tool is deliberately designed to mirror the Microsoft Outlook Calendar showing a graphic calendar of all of your company’s events, displayed in a month-at-a-glance, week-at-a-glance, day-at-a-glance or custom work-week-at-a-glance format.

New Event Wizard
The New Event Wizard makes booking an event effortless. Click one button and a wizard appears walking you through the simple process of entering information. In an instant, your new event and all its pertinent details are added to the program.

Data Entry Tools
Many helpful tools are offered to assist you in the data-entry process: customizable drop-down quickpick lists let you pick common terms instead of constantly retyping them; drop-down calendars and calculators make entering dates and number accurate and easy; a time wizard gives you a visual display of the various times related to an event.

Custom Prints
The remarkable Caterease Print Designer gives you complete control over the appearance of your various event prints. Create as many custom prints (contracts, invoices, back-of-house prints) as you want, deciding what information you want to appear and even formatting fonts in certain areas such as notes and menu item descriptions.

Query Tools & Reports
Track all Current Events and Accounts Receivable using our quick and easy query tools, and instantly generate dozens of attractive, detailed reports.

Standard Version

The Standard Version also contains all the features listed under the Express Version.

Networking/Security Settings
The Standard version gives you the option of purchasing a network license for your program, so that you can run it on multiple computers simultaneously. In addition, you can set various security settings prohibiting various users from using certain features, or limiting them to “read-only” status.

Ingredients/Costing
Get more advanced with your various menu items by including detailed ingredients lists and costing information. Enter costs as either a total line-item cost or as the cumulative sum of all menu item ingredients, and update costs automatically based on changes to the program’s master ingredients list.

Staffing
Select employees for an event as easily as you select menu items. Once you have told the program what positions your various employees work, what their regular and overtime wages are and even what days during the week or calendar year they are able to work, Caterease will automatically track their schedules and warn against any conflicts. Additionally, Caterease will also include employee wages in the overall cost of an event, so you can more accurately track your company’s profits.

Copy Events and Event Menus
The Caterease Standard version lets you copy an entire event with just a mouse click – making it monthly, weekly, daily, etc., or selecting specific dates on which your new copied events should occur. What’s more, you can copy menu items from one event to another, so your most popular dishes and packages can be used over and over with no repetitive typing.

Multiple/Batch Prints and Custom Reports
Generate one print (contract, invoice, kitchen prints, etc.) for several events or clients at a time, or generate several prints for several events or clients at a time – all with one single mouse click. Customize data on your screen, displaying only those details you want to see and sorting and grouping them as desired, and then print that data as a completely customized report.

Professional Version

The Professional Version also contains all the features listed under the Express and Standard Version.

Modifying Ingredients/Required Items On-The-Fly
While the Standard version allows you to include ingredients and required items (a “packing list” of items necessary for each individual menu item), only the Professional version lets you modify these lists on-the-fly from within an event. If a customer requests extra wet-naps for his lobster party, or asks for no garlic on a particular dish, adjustments are just a mouse click away.

Event Data-Entry Shortcuts
Both the Express and Standard version provide data-entry tools, but the Professional version takes it a step further which such time-saving features as the Room Selection Wizard, linking menu item quantities to guest counts, Smart Date Editing (allowing you to type words such as “Today”, “Tomorrow”, Monday”, “EOM” (end-of-month) etc. into date fields), and more.

Restore Deleted Events
The Professional version of the program lets you restore one or more events after they have been deleted, much like restoring from your “Recycle Bin” in Windows. The Standard version allows you to view these events, but they cannot be restored.

Advanced Queries
Go beyond the basic query tools and use our powerful activity queries to quickly track all menu items, payments and more.

Advanced Data Management
Arrange data any way you want in our customizable detail grids, and then save those unique layouts to be accessed at any times like customized reports. Use “Snap Filtering” tools to zero in on just the data you need to see, filtering out other information with a single mouse click.
